Greetings from Amethyst Rose Healing Arts!
   
  For those in the United States, we hope that you had a wonderful fourth of 
July celebration!  
   
  Last month we had two wonderful classes, Crystal Discovery and Reiki II.  The 
weather was so lovely for Reiki II that we held part of the class outside in 
nature.  
   
  Our next class is Reiki I during the weekend of 18-19 August in Herndon, VA.  
Total cost is $120 for returning students and clients.  The class includes 
learning about the history of Reiki, self-care, working on others, meditation, 
empathy, grounding, and protection.  We even include lunch and snacks!
   
  Additional upcoming classes in Herndon, VA include:
    * Crystal Discovery class, 15 September from noon-5PM, cost is $50
    * Reiki II, 29 September from 10AM-5PM, cost is $90 
     (reflects cost for returning students and clients)

  In our shop, we have a few new crystals on offer including tumbled smoky 
quartz and snowflake obsidian both at classes and from the website.  
   
  We also joined the affiliate program for Mountain Rose Herbs which offers 
organic herbs, spices, teas, essential oils, and body products.  Just follow

from them.  This is part of our mission to offer products and services to 
promote spiritual, physical, and emotional well-being.
   
  Also remember that we offer services including spirit and psychic readings by 
our professional medium Simon and healing services from Lisa.  Since our 
clients span the globe, readings are primarily done via phone.  Healing 
services are hands-on in Herndon, VA.  Note that during the next two weeks (up 
through July 26), however, we will not be able to offer healing services in 
Herndon, but readings will continue to be offered by appointment.  
   
  CRYSTAL FEATURE OF THE MONTH:  Snowflake Obsidian
  Snowflake obsidian is a form of obsidian that is nearly opaque black crystal 
with white inclusions that look like snowflakes.  Like all forms of obsidian, 
it is excellent for grounding and helps one to reflect on and identify changes 
needed to address ingrained patterns that are no longer useful.  The snowflakes 
help to soften the bluntness of obsidian, making it more gentle.  It is a stone 
of purity, balance, and serenity, and teaches one to value past mistakes as 
learning opportunities.  It is also useful for treating the veins and skeleton.
