Greetings from Amethyst Rose Healing Arts!  Happy Memorial Day to those in the 
US and may those in the UK enjoy the Spring Bank Holiday!

Our Reiki I class last weekend was wonderful and full of amazing energy.  
Congratulations to our five graduates!  It is an honor to share our knowledge 
with others as we all grow and learn in the light.

UPCOMING CLASSES AND SERVICES:
Reiki II class will be on 23 June from 10AM-5PM in Herndon, VA.  We're 
extending early registration to 1 June and as a special bonus, taking an 
additional $5 off.  Cost is only $90.  Since this is a special price, please 
contact us at arha [at] amethysthealing.com to register.

In two weeks we have our Crystal Discovery class on 9 June.  There is still 
room and we are extending the early registration rate to ARHA subscribers until 
1 June!

We also offer healing and mediumship services.  Current ARHA clients and 
students will receive a $5 (3GBP) discount.  Please use the "Contact Us" form

Also remember that we have a Seichim-Sekhem Reiki class August 18-19 in 
Herndon, VA.  This will cover facets 1 and 2.  Usui Reiki energy feels very 
earthy.  Combine it with the Egyptian energy and it flows like water.  Cost is 
$120 for ARHA clients and students who pre-register.

One change is we are now enforcing our pre-payment policy for classes.  At 
least 1/3 of the class cost is required as a deposit at the time of

TIP OF THE DAY!
This is the time of year for gardening!  Today's tip: use Reiki on your plants! 
 Before planting seeds, hold them in your hand nad give them a little Reiki, 
then put them in the ground.  When transplanting, give the plant a little Reiki 
just before and just after moving it to minimize transplant shock.  And 
especially for houseplants, energize water with Reiki before watering plants.  
It is amazing what a little energy can do!

CRYSTAL HIGHLIGHT!
Today's crystals to highlight are Amazonite and Bloodstone.  

Amazonite: a form of feldspar, opaque, can be minty green with white streaks to 
aqua blue to almost white and slightly translucent.  It is named after the 
Amazon river in Brazil, which is one of the places where this is found.  
Properties include filtering energetic pollution, helping one communicate 
deeply felt emotions, and supporting the thymus gland, which in turn supports 
the immune system.  It balances energy, creates harmony, and enables one to 
both give and receive universal love.  The calming effect of the crystal 
encourages logical thinking.  It is a very good crystal to keep near you at 
your workplace!

Bloodstone: a member of the agate family, deep green with flecks of red that 
resemble blood (hence its name).  The red and green associate this crystal with 
 both the root and heart chakras and helps to balance the two plus all the 
chakras in-between.  Supports the blood and endocrine system and helps with 
calming which in turn can reduce stress and anxiety.  It is also known as a 
stone of courage and inner-strength because of its ability to help release 
emotional blockages that holds one back. 

Both crystals are available from our online and in-class shop.

Example of Reiki First Aid:
Lisa just finished replacing the kitchen faucet with her nephew's help. Well, 
in the process, the round, metal base for the tap slipped out of her hand and 
onto one of her toes, right around the knuckle.  Ouch! After taking her sock 
off, she saw the mark it left and immediately started running Reiki energy into 
it and the pain went away.  There is no swelling, little if any bruising and it 
doesn't hurt!  Reiki is a wonderful addition to any first aid!
