Blessings and Greetings! It has finally warmed up in Virginia and hopefully Spring will be around for awhile! It is lovely to see the trees filling out and azaleas in bloom! In the UK, Spring arrived early with Hawthorn blooming nearly a month early! Amethyst Rose Healing Arts has several classes scheduled through the spring and summer. The class schedule up through October is available at our website http://www.amethysthealing.com under "Classes." Special Offer! Early Registration Rate extended for Reiki I !!! Reiki I will be offered May 19-20 (10AM to 5PM both days) at our backup location at 1110-D Elden Street in Herndon, VA. This is a cat-free location! As a special offer to our subscribers, we are extending the early registration rate of $125 through Mother's Day (May 13)!! If you sign up through the website, just use the early registration button (ignoring the dates on it). This is a wonderful introduction to energy healing and includes fundamentals for working with energy that makes one a more effective Reiki healer. Learn about Reiki history, hand positions, self-care, and receive the Reiki I attunement. Also you will learn about meditation, grounding, protection, handling empathy. Upcoming classes in June include * June 9 Crystal Discovery (noon-5PM), cost $55 (early registration cost) * June 23 Usui Reiki II (10AM-5PM), cost $95 (early registration cost) Crystal Discovery covers learning about care of crystals as well as how to learn from them intuitively in meditation and healing. It is a fun half-day course! Usui Reiki II is for anyone who has completed Reiki I. We recommend a minimum of one month between taking Reiki I and Reiki II to allow energy to settle. Crystals for the season: Last month, I covered several crystals that focus on love and growth (unikite, rose quartz, and moss agate). This month, our focus is on grounding! All grounding stones are associated with the root chakra. Hematite: gun-metal gray, very shiny opaque crystal. Excellent for grounding and calming. Through the calmness, it helps with logical thinking, memory, and stability. This can be cleaned using water, sun, moon, or smudging, but do not use salt since it will mar the luster! Apache Tear: mostly opaque but can be slightly translucent when held up to light, black, but looks slightly white-washed. This is the gentlest form of obsidian. Obsidian (volcanic glass) is known as a "warrior of truth," like an old friend who will tell you exactly what is wrong and be blunt about it. Apache Tear is far more gentle, helps with the grieving process and forgiveness, and helps to gently break down barriers that holds one back. This can be cleaned using any of the crystal cleaning methods. Both of these crystals are available from our crystal shop at http://www.amethysthealing.com/shop.php and can be purchased online or at any of our classes or healing sessions. Have a wonderful spring! Blessings, Lisa & Simon Amethyst Rose Healing Arts www.amethysthealing.com Empowering individuals to take charge of their health through energy healing and education.
